Excellent Examples of Steampunk Lighting

Aug 19, 2009 by Derek in Inspiration

Steampunk is a sub-genre of Science Fiction and goes on the premise that steam power and gearworks accomplish all modern technological achievements – such as steam-powered rockets and airships – and is heavily influenced by such writers as Jules Verne and H. G. Wells. Pixellica presents one small taste of the Steampunk world: Lamps – made to look like they work on early electronics and gears or something that at least has to be more involved than simply flicking a switch.

Details are provided to complete the lamps using common hardware & parts; the tutorials are well-illustrated and would occupy the better part of an afternoon and then some.
