Pixellica was started in the summer of 2009 and has existed in one form or another as a progressive creative journey of Derek Land since around 2006. Pixellica is focused on design in whatever form it takes: Web design, print, marketing, advertising, billboards, collateral and environmental graphics. Heck, if there’s a cool piece of furniture that strikes our interest we’ll post that too.

A Bit About Me

My name is Derek and I started Pixellica as a means of keeping track of things that I find interesting, inspiring and insightful. I take publishing its content seriously and will never feature artwork that highlights nudity or violence – in short, Pixellica is SFW (Safe For Work).

In brief: I’ve freelanced (web development and design) for the NFL, New York State county tourism, and projects for small businesses in my own area. Design – of all kinds – has been just about my foremost interest for as long as I can remember. I currently live in New York with my family, two cats, Macintosh computer and Italian espresso maker.
